Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actress from the United States. Her most well-known role is her part as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick won two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The show ended on the 13th, 2012 following the completion of its seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated to a Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance in Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007) as well as The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who was Speech and Family Therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV who was a venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother, who was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian origins. Sedgwick has declared publicly her Jewish heritage and said that she takes part in Passover seders.
